It has been a while since I blogged. I guess facebook has taken over!!! Anyway, Kiki's birthday (and mine too) fell on Easter weekend. We had planned to spend the weekend in Norfolk, Nebraska with our friends from Kenya, Charles and Lydia and their children. After the Good Friday evening service, We sang happy birthday and had a delicious cake, thanks to Lydia. Kiki is planning to celebrate her birthday by going to watch Hannah Montana the Movie this weekend. she is planning to take some friends from her class. Kiki has continued to do very well at school and is becoming a great reader. She is averaging about 50 books every month in a reading log. She is hoping to read about 100 books this month and we are working on it. She is now in swimming lessons and soccer at the YMCA and loving it. Kiki loves to go to the local library to check out fun books.Kiki continues to remind me to recycle stuff. She is becoming quite an environmentalist!!! She enjoys to help around the house except she is always asking for money as a reward for everything she does including putting away her shoes after school. The good thing though is that she is "saving her money for college"
Happy Birthday Kiki. May you grow to celebrate many more.
