A Walk In The Plairie http://thecutestblogontheblock.com/facelift/StrawberryMintDelightBannercopy.jpg

Last weekend, July 31, 2009, Lisa invited us for a walk in the plairie near her home. Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center is an 808-acre tallgrass prairie nature preserve located 20 minutes southwest of Lincoln, Nebraska. Visitors can enjoy miles of walking trails, nearly 650 acres of native (never plowed) tallgrass prairie, ponds and wetlands, wildflowers and grasses, a diverse assortment of birds and other wildlife, historic nineteenth-century wagon ruts, peaceful surroundings, and beautiful scenic vistas. It was so beautiful I want to take that walk again! My mother loved it and said that somebody should plant some sugarcane in the swamp. Here are some awesome pictures that Lisa took.

I don't know if they were rubbing their eyes or pretending to have binoculars

My mom loved this place. She was able to identify similar plants and vegetation that grows in Kenya.

The Scenery was Spectacular. I want to go back again soon!
